Suyogya is a Happiness Engineer at Automattic living in Delhi, India. He is a fan of technology, photography, and music. He is also interested in design and web development. Over at Automattic, He works with the WordPress.com team to help people use our products on a daily basis.
Ajay works as a Happiness Engineer with Automattic Inc and has been at it since July 2018. He provides support remotely for Automattic products (namely WordPress.com, Jetpack, and WooCommerce among others).
Prior to joining Automattic, he has worked with Directly Software Inc. He built his first WordPress site in 2008 for a friend and first WooCommerce store for a client in 2009. He has worked on around 20 small to medium WordPress projects single-handedly and has worked on more than 40 WordPress projects overall. Ajay was responsible for creating the first online store in Eastern India and make it break-even within 18 months of launch.
Father of two, Ajay lives with his wife and kids in New Delhi, India. In his leisure time, he enjoys swimming, exploring places quite often through a book, and likes to click as many beautiful things as nature has to offer.
An overview of the combined session (200-300 words): Remote jobs are becoming popular yet remain one of the most unexplored domains. Working remotely ash its own merits and demerits that we believe deserves an open dialogue. Some take working remotely to be an easy task, while some think of it as a fun holiday. The minority of us who see t for what it really is, a taxing job with the benefit of avoiding rush hour traffic, at times fail to use the right tools to make the work fun and a learning experience.
With the increase in the remote workforce, productivity and health are two major concerns that we all should be well aware of. We need to learn the tricks of the trade to make the best use of working from home especially in the Indian landscape. where working from home is fairly a new concept that will take time to emerge as a serious work option. Discussing these issues openly amongst family, friends, as well as colleagues can he;p us increase our productivity exponentially.
